Welcome
Over the last twenty five years the North Wales Coast has seen a decline in freight services on its railways. Amongst the few remaining locations that still has a regular service is Penmaenmawr and more recently RTZ on Anglesey.
All these services are hauled by diesel locomotives, Freightliner Class 66 to Penmaenmawr with sometimes a second train in the afternoon.
On Saturdays the Aluminium service is hauled by EWS Class 67, 66, 60 and still the odd 37.
Other services along the coast worth a mention are the Virgin Class 390 Pendelino hauled by Class 57. Not forgetting the DRS service to Valley which usually turns up Class 20's 37's and 66.
